What is Myofascial Release?

Myofascial release (MFR) therapy treats skeletal muscle immobility and pain by relaxing contracted muscles, improving blood and lymphatic circulation, and stimulating the stretch reflex in muscles.

What is the Fascia?

The fascia is a thin, tough, elastic type of connective tissue that wraps most structures within the human body, including muscle.  This fascia supports and protects these structures.

Can MFR help me?

Myofascial pain syndrome is a chronic pain disorder caused by sensitivity and tightness in your myofascial tissues.  These tissues surround and support the muscles throughout your body.  So the pain usually originates from specific points within your myofascial tissues called “trigger points.”

Discuss with our therapist the value of Myofascial Release therapy.  MFR can aid in the treatment of headaches, bank pain, pelvic pain, neck pain, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, and myofascial pain syndrome.
